Anathema Quill
Anathema quills first appear to be normal writing quills, however, they are highly magical. Churches, thieves’ guilds and other organizations use them to mark traitorous members. Upon activation, these quills allow the user to create a nearly indelible tattoo on the victim (will save at -6 negates). These tattoos are typically crafted on visible areas of the body, such as the face and hands, and depict the traitorous action in symbolic form. Each quill can draw 1-4 tattoos that have the effect of a bestow curse spell and the following other properties:
• All will saves for scrying on the victim by organization members are made at -10.
• Organization members can discern location of the victim without possessing an item that belonged to them or having seen them, as long as the victim’s name is known.
• All detect spells cast on the victim will reveal the tattoo, even if it is covered with clothing.
Similar to bestow curse, the tattoos cannot be dispelled, but can be removed with an atonement, break enchantment, limited wish, miracle, or wish spell.
