Casting Time: One Action
Range: Close (25 ft+5 ft./2 levels)
Target: One creature (see text)
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Reflex for half
Spell Resistance: Yes

A clear beam of force flies from the caster’s fingertips, only visible because of the slight displacement of light that goes through it. This spell was developed by ghost hunters who found it difficult to overcome the miss chance that incorporeal creatures have. This ray deals 1d6 force damage per a level (maximum 15d6.) Because this is force damage, incorporeal creatures cannot ignore the damage. Furthermore, the ray has another effect. If it strikes an incorporeal creature, in addition to dealing its damage, it continues through until the ray’s range is finished, or it hits a corporeal creature, whichever comes first. In this way, a caster can hit several ghosts at the same time. This ray does not require an attack roll, instead the caster simply points in a direction and the target is allowed to make a reflex save for half.
