The Parole Sigil is a variation on the traditional Mark of Justice. It is applied criminals who have yet to be tried to keep them within a certain area. When the Parole Sigil is cast, the caster must decide on a geographic area. If the target is ever outside that area, he immediately becomes sickened and takes a cumulative -1 to ability scores every day. So long as the Parole Sigil is still on the creature, this ability damage cannot be removed. Once the target moves back into the designated area, the penalties are removed at a rate of one per a day. The target is also prevented from using any form of planar travel, including spells such as Teleport and Dimension Door, similar to a Dimensional Anchor spell. Finally, the caster may decide to have the area the target is restricted to shrink at a certain time, or when certain events come to pass. This can only happen once, and the change is permanent. Generally, this is used to return the subject to a courthouse for his trial.
