Zacinite

Zacinites are desert predators, vicious and frightening, but ultimately are little more than powerful animals. Legend says that they were created by a dark scorpion god who took his greatest and evilest followers and fused them with scorpions, hoping to create the most destructive race the world has ever seen. Unfortunately for the god, the ritual was tampered with, and the souls of the original followers were lost. Now, instead of being cruel and intelligent, the Zacinites are simply hungry animals looking for their next meal.

From a distance, Zachinites might be mistaken for hairless humans. If looked at closer, however, it is revealed that they have large, scorpion-like tails, a thin, skin colored exoskeleton and long, sharp fingers. Their teeth are jagged and they drool venom. They are fierce and unrelenting, never giving up once they choose a target. They cannot be spoken to without magic such as a “Speak With Animals” spell.
