The Khan are a small, secret society with the stated goal of eliminating all evil creatures from the world. Members each take this to a different degree, some only hunt creatures that have done evil deeds, others hunt down evil creatures preemptively, and others still call for the genocide of races that are “born evil,” in their mind including goblins, orcs and similar creatures. Because of this disagreement, The Khan have a variety of different alignments in their ranks. While many Khan argue over philosophical points of which creatures need to be killed, they realize that their limited resources does not give them the ability to be picky about who they recruit, and members rarely actually fight one another.

The Khan’s typical course of action is to incorporate its individual members into adventuring groups. These members then help the group in whatever task they are currently engaged in and use them to kill evil creatures. The Khan are fond of hunting chromatic dragons, since most of their members agree that they should be killed, and they tend to gravitate towards adventuring groups that hunt those creatures.

The Khan’s long term goal is to remove all evil from their plane of existence, preferably by eliminating it, but they are content with banishing evil as well. The Khan see evil as the source of all humanity’s problems, poverty, disease and pain, and if they can eliminate it this world will become a utopia. Some of their members believe that there is a source of evil somewhere in this world, a spring or seed of some kind that produces evil in this plane. These members have made it their mission to find this source and destroy it.

The Khan has a form of leadership, but most of its members simply receive instructions, and may never meet whoever they are taking orders from. This has led some outsiders to believe that the organization serves a far more malevolent master than it might seem.
