Emperits
Emperits are creatures that are often mistaken for some form of undead. They appear as transparent humanoids, oftentimes dressed in expensive and extravagant clothing, and may appear to be some sort of ghost. However, they are actually fairies, who venture to other planes in search of emotions. Emperits cannot feel for themselves, their minds are cold and without feeling. They can only feel through other creatures, and seek out great sources of emotion to fulfill their desire to actually be able to feel emotions for themselves.
Emperits often times attack humanoids, in order to provoke, and by association, feel, pain and fear. However, Emperits are also known for hunting down other kinds of emotion. An Emperit may use its powers to give a couple of young lovers the perfect evening, just so it can feel the shared love itself. It might float around in a casino just to feel the rush that the patrons feel. Unfortunately, they are just as likely to ruin a date as to help it. They are highly unpredictable, and ultimately only care about finding another strong source of emotion, so that for just a little while they can feel alive.
In fairy society, Emperits are greatly looked down upon. They have gotten a reputation for being antisocial and rude. For the most part, Emperits find no reason to be around other fairies, and would rather spend their time stalking humanoids with strong emotions. Emperits are considered to be acceptable targets of jokes in fairy society, and for the most part Emperits stay to themselves. There is said to be one Emperit, called “The Red Lady” who rules all other Emperits. It is said that The Red Lady lets them tend to themselves, and actually interacts with fairies on occasion. She is said to be a sad, and dangerous creature, who actually managed to acquire one emotion of her own: anger. The stories go that human emotions no longer give her the rush that they once had, and she erupts into fits of rage at the smallest reminder of when she could actually feel things. She shattered a table when a human guest spoke of a lover, outraged that she would never be able to feel love for herself, and tried to strangle the guest.

Aura of Heat: As a full-round action, an Emperit can fill a twenty foot radius around itself with energy. All other creatures in that area take 8d6 fire damage so long as they are in the area. An Emperit can keep this aura up so long as it does not move.
Pain Clutch: As a full round action, an Emperit can make a mental connection with another creature it can see. The creature must make a will save, DC 18. If the creature fails the will save, it takes 8d6 damage and takes a -4 to all saves and attacks so long as the connection lasts. The Emperit can maintain the connection so long as it takes a full round action every round to do so. The connection is only broken when the Emperit fails to take a full round action to maintain it. Every round the connection is maintained, the victim takes another 8d6 damage and maintains the -4 to all saves and attacks.
Wrathful Slam: If the Emperit takes a full round action to make one slam attack, it gets a +5 to attack and a +10 to damage that round.
Magic Weapon Resistance: Magic weapons with a lower than a +5 weapon enchantment do not overcome the Emperit’s damage reduction.
Emotion Sense: Emperits can sense and feel the emotions of all creatures within a twenty foot radius. An Emperit knows the presence of all creatures with emotions within that radius, and all creatures within that radius get a -8 to bluff checks made against the Emperit. Creatures with a “Mind Blank” spell or similar effect are immune to this effect.
